Full-Time Auto Technician
POSITION SUMMARY

Auto Technicians for Downey Boys Automotive will ensure that every customer interaction is a positive interaction that affirms the decision to trust our team with their automotive investment. This role is responsible for building rapport by providing information, giving recommendations, and operating with the highest level of integrity.
Our company is growing and looking for Automotive Technicians at our Big Lake, TX Location. We want someone highly motivated, driven, and passionate about servicing our customers and their vehicles. OBJECTIVES
Perform automotive preventive maintenance:
- Lube Oil & Filter Service
- Tire Rotation & Brake Inspections
- Transmission Fluid Exchange
- Differential Fluid Exchange
- Power Steering Fluid
- Engine Coolant Exchange; Other services as assigned
- Master company knowledge, products, services delivery model
- Evaluate customers’ needs, make repair recommendations with the highest level of integrity
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace
- Must have organized approach to workload with proper follow through
- Effectively communicate with team members, management, and customers in both verbal and written format
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals and procedure manuals
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) a preferred skill

PAY
- $35-45/hour depending on experience and skill level
Full-Time Service Writer
POSITION SUMMARY
The Service Writer / Advisor role at Downey Boys Automotive. is what keeps our company operating smoothly. Helping our customers with all their service needs and collaborating with our team to deliver outstanding customer experience! This is a sales /customer service-oriented role and requires excellent communication skills. Working from the front counter you will engage customers (greeting, follow up, etc. ), prepare quotes for repairs using a computer, electronic scheduling, parts ordering, and working with service technicians for repairs.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE INCLUDE:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Computer Skills.
- Phone skills.
- Familiar with the sales process.
- Customer service oriented.
- Knowledge and understanding of shop systems and parts ordering software
- Knowledge of vehicles services and parts to collaborate effectively between customers and technicians for repairs
- Knowledge of money handling and credit card systems

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum (3) year of service writing experience in a shop
- Current State Driver’s License
- Clean Driving Record
- Background check required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, and/or walking
- Ability to work in enclosed environments exposed to excessive noise, automotive shop environment, and cold or heat for up to 8 hours per day
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
- Perform work with OSHA required PPE
